We have a question from a client:

I want to file my business tax myself. Is that a good idea or should I hire somebody?

Unless you have a background in bookkeeping and accounting it is almost certainly better to have your tax return prepared by a professional. Even if you have done returns a few times in the past, your level of experience pales in comparison to someone who prepares returns for a living and deals with them every day. The short answer is that you could do it yourself, but probably shouldn’t. In the best case scenario, you would likely miss some deductions and end up paying extra taxes. In the worst case, you might declare something you shouldn’t have and end up facing an audit.
